We are celebrating our 6th Year!

Las Mariposas Language Center, located in Ballston Spa, New York, invites your whole family to learn a second or third language in a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. We offer a full range of group and private classes for adults, teenagers, and children.

All of our children's classes are designed by New York State certified teachers. These classes use music, movement, games, stories, and art to nurture a love of the Spanish and French languages as well as the related cultures.

Our services for teenagers including tutoring and enrichment classes. Tutoring is designed to help the students that are struggling with language classes at school. We can help middle or high school students earn a higher grade and / or pass the proficiency exam or the Regents test in Spanish or French.

The enrichment program is designed for the students that already do well in and love the language, but want to take it a step further. Perhaps your child would enjoy one-on-one conversation classes with a native Spanish or French speaker or maybe your avid reader would like to delve into classics with an instructor.

Beginning in the Winter of 2009 Las Mariposas will offer an 18-week long refresher Spanish course for the high school students who took a few years off from language, but are hoping to pass a college placement test. If you are interested in this option, please write to us or call.

Our adult program has proven effective based on the quality of teaching, the small class sizes and the well-developed curriculum. Adults have a lot of flexibility with their program. The minimum is one group or one private class per week. The adults who put in additional study time at home and take additional conversation classes at Las Mariposas advance the quickest.

To make it easy on the adult with the packed schedule, one of our instructors can work with you at your place of employment on your lunch hour or at the end of your work day.
