Helpful Language Links
| We are slowly building this language
links page for our own students as well as to have a comprehensive
list for teachers and the general public. For now, most sites
are helpful for learning Spanish. As we get more sites
together for the other languages that we teach, we will organize
them accordingly. |
-
Anacleta:
A collection of language and culture resources for children.
- El Castellano
:
We love this site. It is a comprehensive resource for
dictionaries, radio programs, newspapers, etc. Subscribe to La
palabra del día to learn a new word every day.
-
Enchanted Learning: This site is a general education site
for children. It has a good Spanish theme section. We use some
of the sketches in class from time to time.
- Lingolex:
Another online study course. However, this site is not as good
as "Study Spanish" (mentioned above).
- Spanish Dictionary:
This online dictionary allows you to translate words between
English and Spanish. It will also pronounce the word for you.
Great Links for CRLC's Students:
- About
Spanish: Kim loves Gerald Erichsen's site and often will
refer students to it.
-
Asociación
de Academias de la Lengua Española:
The governing bodies of Spanish from
several Spanish-speaking countries.
-
Destinos, view it here.
-
Destinos activities and chapter recaps in
English and Spanish
-
French
in Action, view it here

- Notes in Spanish: You can't help but love
Marina and Ben. Links here for the three different levels
of their conversations:
Level 1, podcasts 1-30ish
Level 2, podcasts 1-46ish
Level 3, podcasts 1-96ish
- Real
Academia Española:
The Royal Spanish Academy, the official institution which
regulates the Spanish language. When you truly want to
know if a word exists or if you want to see if you have only
dreamed that it is really a Spanish word, go here.
- Study Spanish:
This is a free online tutorial with listening exercises.
Good activities to use to review grammar
points.
- Word Reference
: Several
languages...dictionary, verb conjugations and an addictive
forum. Kim loves this site.
- Yabla: Amazing site now with video,
song, recipes, etc. in Spanish, French, German and English.
A low monthly fee will allow you unlimited access to one of
these languages. The free demos are great too.

Is it important to be bi/trilingual? recent report.
 Great video, from the UK.

Language CDs or Classes? CDs are
ok as a supplemental resource, but they generally won't do the job
alone...Call us
