French Teachers
Olivia Barone
Olivia is currently pursuing a PhD Program in French Studies with an emphasis on linguistics and language acquisition at the University at Albany. She has just completed all of her course work for her PhD and she hopes to be back, teaching with CRLC, at both of our locations. She has a B.A. in French Education as well as a M.A. in Holistic Education from SUNY Fredonia. She has a permanent New York State certification in French grades 6-12. Olivia was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She teaches group classes and private lessons to students all grades and specializes in integrating interactive activities to suit individual learning styles and goals.
Kate Crosby
Kate is a NYS certified French teacher currently teaching for the South Colonie School District. She loves everything about French and teaching the language. She will be offering classes to children and adults at CRLC's two locations, Albany and Ballston Spa, as often as she can find the time.
Rama Das
Rama, a native of India, has been teaching French for more than 20 years. Fluent in English, French, Hindi and Bengali, Rama has had a lot of experience both learning and teaching languages. She is offering classes at CRLC's Ballston Spa location.
Armelle Lefebvre
Armelle, a native of France, is available primarily at our Ballston Spa location for children's and adult classes. She was an IBM programmer for her first career and able to teach business French specific to computers for corporations.
